Are you daydreaming of far off road trip destinations? You’re not alone. Here at Say, our minds wander every once in a while, and we can’t help but think about all the places we one day hope to go. Here are some of Say’s top road trip destinations.
Montana’s a go-to destination if you’re feeling the need for some wide open spaces. Who wouldn’t love to visit what was once the Wild West? The quaint small towns and open roads in Montana are hard to beat.
2. The Grand Canyon in Arizona
People say the natural beauty of the Grand Canyon is absolutely breathtaking. You can enjoy some awe-inspiring views of the Colorado River which carved the canyon. Sunrise and sunset can be exceptionally beautiful times to catch a glimpse of this natural wonder.
3. The Smokey Mountains in Tennessee
In case you didn’t know, the Great Smokey Mountains National Park is the most visited national park in the US. It’s safe to say that it’s not just us here at Say that are daydreaming about this dreamy mountain range.
4. The Pacific Coast Highway in California
Have you ever seen a car commercial? Then you’ve likely seen the picturesque views of the Pacific Coast Highway. It’s a popular road for car makers to showcase their rides. You’ll get some of the best views of the West Coast from this windy road.
5. The Beach
Being located in mid-Missouri makes it tough for Say folks to get to a beach. Literally, we’d love to visit any beach at all. You really can’t compete with the sun on your face, your toes in the sand, and the relaxing sound of waves.
6. North Carolina
North Carolina seems to have it all with the Appalachian Mountains but also a beautiful coast with some prime beaches. Driving through this state means you get to enjoy a bit of everything. Pop in a podcast and you’re good to go.
Road tripping to Maine means you get to drive through most of the Northeast. There’s a lot to see, and you get to take it all in from the car windows. Pack some hiking gear for this trip because there are some great trails and parks to visit during your road trip.
8. San Francisco
California’s calling! A road trip to San Francisco means you get to take in a lot that California has to offer. Plus, you can’t miss driving across the Golden Gate Bridge for a visit to Sequoia National Park. Those larger-than-life Redwood trees are a must-see.
Prepping for your trip
Before you hit the road, make sure you’ve got all the essentials. You’ll want your road trip snacks and maybe an audiobook or two to keep you entertained. And because we always want you to put safety first, make sure you’ve got a summertime emergency kit handy in case you get stuck or break down.
