We Won’t Leave You Hanging
At Say Insurance, we never want to leave you stranded. That’s why we include roadside assistance in every policy.
What's covered under Roadside Assistance?
Our friends at Agero are there to lend a helping hand when you need a little extra support for things like:
- Towing
- A dead battery
- Being locked out
- A flat tire
- Fuel, oil, or water delivery if needed
Your Roadside Assistance can help with a lot, but your car must be within 50 feet of a paved or well-maintained road.
What's not covered under Roadside Assistance?
Any time there is an accident that damages your car, another car, or property, you should always file a claim. Roadside Assistance shouldn’t be used for a claims issue. In these cases, your tow would be handled through the claims process if you have purchased the coverage required for that accident. Some other common costs not included under Roadside Assistance include:
- The cost of parts
- Any services or repairs done by a repair shop
- Towing due to illegal parking, impoundment, or other legal violations
For the full list of what is and isn’t included in Roadside Assistance, check out your policy in your My Say account.
How much Roadside Assistance do I get?
Each policy through Say includes Roadside Assistance at up to $100 per incident. Let's say your car breaks down and you’re stranded. If your towing bill is $120, we will pay the $100 through your policy and you’d be responsible for the other $20.
Since we provide $100 per incident, if you experience another break down four months later you’ll have another $100 of Roadside Assistance to use.
Just be sure to call Agero for any roadside needs. In the unlikely event that Agero is closed or unreachable and you called another provider, you may be entitled to reimbursement by Agero. See policy endorsement for details.
Will using Roadside Assistance affect my premium?
We will not penalize you for utilizing this important service. Using Roadside Assistance multiple times will not usually affect your premium.
There are some exceptions. For example, we often get asked if getting your car towed affects your insurance premium. The good news: it typically does not. However, if you get towed twice in a short amount of time for the same issue and service determined the second tow was due to lack of routine maintenance or repairs, you may run into issues. But if you keep up on maintenance, you’ll likely be okay.
