The Paperless Discount
If you opt to have documents emailed instead of mailed the old-fashioned way, we’ll give you a discount on your auto insurance for going paperless. This discount rewards those who love to be ‘green’ and save trees.
Here's What You'll Save with the Paperless Discount
We’re all trying to do our part and leave the earth a little better than we found it, right? We appreciate that here at Say, so when you opt into electronic delivery we’ll give you up to a 10% Paperless Discount on your six-month rate.
This discount will start during your first payment if you go paperless as a brand new customer.
If you are already a Say customer and just opted into electronic delivery, the discount will be pro-rated. This means your amount due will be adjusted going forward. If you start in the middle of the month and have already paid, we’ll adjust your rate from the day you opted in. If you pay-in-full, you’ll get a nice reimbursement check from us to make up for the difference. If you pay monthly, we'll just credit your account and it'll go towards your next withdraw. And no matter how you get your refund, from then on, you’ll have the Paperless Discount rolled into your rate.
The Documents You'll Get if You Go Paperless
If you do choose to go paperless, you’ll still get emails (or texts if you opt into them) with your important policy documents. These emails will be about your renewals, payment reminders, documents about policy changes, etc. We’re legally required to send some information and want to be sure you have all the details about your policy. Not only will you get those emails, but the documents will also be uploaded to your My Say account. That way you can access them whenever you need them.
How to Get Say's Paperless Discount
Like everything at Say, we try to make it easy on you. Because most choose to go paperless, we automatically opt you into the Paperless Discount. If you decide you don’t want it, you can simply uncheck the option on the coverage page of your My Say account.
Check Your Email Address
In order to receive the Paperless Discount, we will need a valid email address. If we have a bad email on file, we’ll have to mail you the legally-required documents and you’ll lose your Paperless Discount. You’ll see a premium increase if that happens, and we don’t want that.
If you’re a new customer just now signing up, be sure to enter a valid, current email address. If you’re a current Say customer going paperless, double check that email for us. We don’t want anything to get in the way of you saving money.
Deciding If You Should Go Paperless
If you are someone constantly on the go and are better at keeping up with email and texts than snail mail, this would be a good option for you. You’ll get your policy updates and renewal information wherever you are.
If your inbox is over-crowded and things easily get lost, this may not be the best idea for you. Some people use mail to remind them about upcoming payments or renewals, and that’s just fine.
