Social distancing is important right now, but that's no reason to sit on your couch without entertainment! We’ve got some TV show and movie recommendations that will allow you to skip the Netflix browsing and get right to the good stuff.
TV Shows
Flip to your favorite streaming service, grab the popcorn, and hit play!
The Office - This is quite possibly the most cliché binge-worthy TV show, but there’s good reason for that. This comedy set in a simple American office will have you missing your co-workers in no time!
Friends - We strictly advise you to begin binging TV shows with 10+ seasons. They make for an incredible full week binge, okay maybe more than a week…
Impractical Jokers – The constant competition between Q, Murr, Sal, and Joe tests who will be embarrassed and who will complete their hilarious dares.
YOU - Caution! This one is a tad creepy, but it will draw you in immediately (Only two seasons, so you can make short work of this one).
Game of Thrones – A heavy binge for sure! HBO tells the powerful story of each contender who fights for control of the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros. Each has a claim to the throne and with all of the surprises in the eight-season whirlwind, once you begin, you won’t stop!
Criminal Minds – You might consider changing your career path to join these FBI profilers’ team. If nothing else, because Spencer Reid and Derek Morgan are truly extraordinary.
This is Us - Warning – tears WILL flow. Jack, Rebecca, and their family pull at every heart string as they experience life, love, and death.
Brooklyn Nine-Nine - A few members of our team quote this show often. Better watch it to find your next catchphrase, it might even be “tight, tight, tight, tight”.
Saturday Night Live - SNL can be your buffer between shows or just when you’ve been inside for over 48 hours and need a good laugh.
I am a Killer - Docuseries are all the rage right now, and this one won’t disappoint with never-before-seen footage of prisoners convicted of capital murder.
Movies
More of a movie junkie? No need to fear, we’ve got suggestions for you too!
Monty Python and the Holy Grail - One, two, five – time to dive into this comedic portrayal of the Middle Ages. You might learn a thing or two about marriage and true love!
Avengers: Infinity Wars - The second movie in the Avengers trilogy, crushed box offices with over $2 billion opening weekend. It had fans back in 2018 and still does. Check it out!
John Wick - Not one, not two, but THREE John Wick movies to enjoy the retired hitman seeking vengeance.
He’s Just Not That Into You – Is it Jennifer Aniston, Ben Affleck, Drew Barrymore, Bradley Cooper, Scarlett Johansson, Justin Long, or Ginnifer Goodwin that makes this movie? We’d argue all of the above.
Murder Mystery - A whodunit that takes you on an adventure where you’ll laugh, wonder, and maybe even solve the big mystery.
Marriage Story - This drama walks viewers through a hard divorce between a stage director and an actor described as “incisive” and “compassionate” by IMDb.
Christopher Robin – We couldn’t not throw one in for the kiddos (and adults whose childhood was defined by Winnie the Pooh)!
A Wrinkle in Time - First published in 1962, this novel has been read by tons of young adults, and now they can finally visualize tesseract travel!
Amy - For our documentary fans out there, this tells the intimate life story of the incredible musician, Amy Winehouse.
Super 8 – A fantasy film that is on the scarier side for our Stranger Things fans.
