COLUMBIA, Mo. – As final touches are being made to this year’s True/False Film Fest, Say Insurance® is dedicated to making this year’s event one of the most impactful yet by being the festival’s first ever art sponsor. True/False’s art program is set to showcase works from artists such as Tavia Sanza, Carrie Elliot, Mark Steck, and Daniel Heggarty from March 5-8 in Columbia, Missouri. As a sponsor, Say leaders know the positive effects the Fest has had on the local community and want to make sure it continues.
“Say Insurance is proud to be a sponsor of such a prestigious local event,” Director of Say Insurance® Marc Deiter said. “We, along with our parent company, Shelter Insurance®, strongly believe in supporting the communities where we work and live. Supporting the True/False Film Festival is a great way to do this.”
Beginning in 2004, tens of thousands of people from across the world have gathered annually for a long weekend dedicated to celebrating art. This four-day experience features art in various forms including video shorts, interactive pieces, sculptures, paintings and concerts, with a particular focus on independent films. Artists interact with fans and critics alike as each viewing experience is directly followed by a Q&A session that allows attendees to get the story behind each piece. The addition of Say Insurance® as a partner of this event allows for that experience to be even greater.
"Art is one of the primary cornerstones of what makes True/False a transformational experience,” True/False Managing Director Camellia Cosgray said. “Say's contribution is such an impactful way to show support for the Fest and the community at the same time."
This event allows attendees the opportunity to engage with art that has never before been seen. From intricate pieces suspending above the heads of all who walk down Alley A, to a captivating sculpture that will shut down Ninth Street, the experience is scheduled to bring fun for the whole family.
The artists will continue to display work in galleries and showcases throughout 2020.
